I Choose Jesus

If we love God, then we will love His Son Jesus Christ.  Someone who does not recognize Jesus Christ has missed the signs that God made clear.  And it possible they missed the signs, because they do not really love God;   because their eyes are blinded by the things of the world and their own desires.

It is true that as human beings, we all have desires and most of us have our favorite things in this world;  but, if these things are more important than God's commandments  and the teachings of Jesus, we should examine ourselves and see if the truth is in us.  What is the truth?  God's Spirit...
has witnessed it to us in Jesus' birth, His baptism, His crucifixion.  At the cross, Jesus paid for our sins.  God raised Him from the dead, and because of Jesus, we never have to die -- we can have eternal life.

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God (KJV, 1 John 5:11-13).  

In a nutshell, 1 John 5: 1- 13 is explaining to us the proof that God has given us to let us know Jesus is His  Son.   He explains that it will not be a burden to follow His commandments when we are in Jesus.  The fact that we are dead in our sins, until we become followers of Jesus, is brought to light in verse 12.  We do not have life, even though we walk this earth until we know Him.  When we believe on the name of Jesus, the Son of God, we have eternal life.  The earthly form we walk in may die, but our souls will be eternal.
